Porsha Pate Book discussion #2
Reading the second half of this book for me personally, was a lot easier to comprehend and with the short stories included in this portion, it made it a lot more interesting. In a sense, it's not as shocking to me anymore with the statistics about people who are still in poverty and cant afford to pay for living. For people in poverty it's a continuous struggle, that almost seem to never come to an end. It saddens me to know that individuals are in poverty, and cant afford comfortable living conditions, but it's even worse for children who's suffering from this as well. I dislike how programs are made specifically for individuals in poverty, but don't level up to their rank of actually getting things done and making a difference in the homelessness lives. A test question would be " What are some new programs that can be created to assist with individuals in poverty?"
